

The Microsoft Office Professional Plus program teaches computer skills for students who would like to work in a professional office environment. Whether students start with little to no experience, or already have a foundation to start from, this program will help them acquire the computer skills needed to be successful. The emphasis of the curriculum is on job skills, but students are also prepared to pass examinations to become certified as Microsoft Office Specialists. The course is instructor-led and includes hands-on exercises, practice tests, and optional typing instruction. The program is 18 weeks in length and students can usually start within a week or two.

This course is suited for novice computer users looking to acquire skills in order to gain successful entry into a professional office environment.
Prerequisites
Students must pass a test of basic skills. It is not necessary for students to have had experience using computers, although it is helpful.

They will learn multiple software programs and how these programs work together to accomplish job-related projects. Students who successfully complete this program will often have skills superior to those of many office workers who have used computers for years, but who have never had the opportunity to take an intensive training program like this one.
