Our mentors work with each student to determine their goals and establish a training plan. Using the variety of training tools available at OfficeStar, mentors coach the student to help them achieve their objectives. Clients can follow our recommended course curriculum and materials, or we can customize the training to fit your needs. Training is usually delivered at our Salinas center, but can also be delivered at our Watsonville center or at the client's site. Technical Boot Camps Technical Boot Camps are a good option when a client needs to achieve technical certifications, quickly. Traditional Boot Camp Traditional boot camps are generally one week or longer, and consist of training days that are 10-12 hours long. Intensive instructor-led training is followed by instructor-led test preparations. Certification tests are usually incorporated into the training days. While traditional boot camps can achieve their objectives, most students find the training to be very intense and have difficulty achieving the desired certifications in the abbreviated time frame. Mini Boot Camp OfficeStar's preferred approach has been to divide the Boot Camps into a series of shorter training sessions. Generally two days long, each training session focuses on a single certification test. Students are expected to take a certification test at the culmination of the training, or to schedule to take it within two weeks. Many clients have found the shorter sessions enable them to send their entire teams at once. This provides a number of benefits to employee morale and business results, and minimizes the negative impact from employees being away from the office.
