Using OfficeStar Training Vouchers

Thank you for choosing OfficeStar Training as your training solution provider! This document explains the process for enrolling your students into OfficeStar classes and answers frequently-asked questions.

Publicizing the Class Schedule

Each month, we will send our updated class schedule to you via email. Many customers forward the monthly email to employees or to managers. Others print the schedule and display it in a common area, refer to it in company communications, or create a link on their intranet website. You can also find the schedule yourself anytime at our website. 

Handling Training Requests / Notifying OfficeStar

When a training request has been approved, simply ask your OfficeStar contact to register the student, or use our convenient online enrollment form. You will need to know the class, date, and student details (name, phone number, and email address) in order to complete the enrollment. Please be aware that classes do sell out, so it is best to register early.

Enrollment & Confirmation

If there's space available the student will be enrolled in the class; if not, you will be offered alternative dates for the class(es). Students are sent an email confirmation immediately with class information (class time, directions). Approximately 3 days before the class, we email students to confirm they will attend.

Using Training Vouchers

Before the date of the training, give the student the OfficeStar class voucher, marked with the student’s name, class name, and class date. The student must bring the voucher to the class. If the student does not bring the voucher, we will still allow them into the class if they sign a form promising to send in the voucher. If we don’t receive the voucher within 5 days after the class, our Accounting Department will bill for the class. Please help us avoid this extra work by making sure your students bring their vouchers to class.

Number of Vouchers Required

One training voucher is required for each day of Microsoft Office applications training. We can accept training vouchers for business skills, graphics/web design, and other classes. Your account executive will confirm with you the number of vouchers needed for your training, or you can look it up here

Reordering Training Vouchers

When you only have a few remaining training vouchers, please contact OfficeStar if you would like to order more. Ordering ahead allows time to process and distribute your new vouchers to you, so your students’ training schedules are not affected. For your convenience, you now have the option of ordering online--just click here and choose the number of vouchers you'd like to purchase.

Please review our Enrollment Policies with your student so you won’t be charged for classes if for some reason the student can't attend.

 

General OfficeStar Class Information

Day classes are from 8:30am-4:30pm. We ask that students arrive 10-15 minutes prior to class. If a student is more than 15 minutes late, their seat may be given to a client who is waiting on Standby. There are short morning and afternoon breaks, and lunch is from approximately noon to 1:00pm.

“Business casual” is appropriate attire. Students are supplied with a manual for class, and may bring a pen and paper for additional note-taking if they like.

Coffee & tea are provided and we have snack & soda machines. If students wish to bring lunch, a refrigerator and microwave are available. There are also places nearby to eat.

Please Note

OfficeStar has locations in Salinas and Santa Cruz. While email confirmations clearly state at which site a class takes place, students occasionally show up at the wrong location. Please make sure your students are aware which office they should go to, especially if they might not have access to the email confirmation.
